In India this year, Babaji presented Shakti Durga and Gayatri with statues of the Sudarshana Chakra. The sudarshana chakra is the wheel of dharma. It represents integrity, truth, purpose, and virtue becoming embodied in action in our lives.
On the spiritual path, we strive to access higher states of consciousness, but we also seek to live that consciousness on Earth. That is, to live lives filled with integrity, purpose, bliss and joy, and to play our part in the plan of dharma that is bigger than our separate selves. In order to do this, we have to weave our divine connection into both action and being; into every part of our physical lives. If we can accomplish this, life becomes rich with meaning, bliss and fulfilment, and we find a kind of grace that helps smooth even the most difficult challenges we face. This is the power of embodying Dharma - and this is the flavour of these recent blessings from Babaji we want to share with you in this one-off course.
Various gods and goddesses in the Hindu pantheon have sudarshana chakras, including Durga (The goddess of courage and fearless, blazing love) and Vishnu (the god of Virtue, dharma and integrity). When wielded by these deities, the Sudarshana Chakra is a weapon that is used to spin out untruth, to overcome a-dharma or non-righteousness action, and to restore dharma, virtue and integrity.
This three-session deep-dive is designed as an opportunity to explore the gifts of these Dharma Wheels and the blessings Babaji has given our community through them. We will be drawing on teachings given in discourses from Babaji as well as on our own knowledge of dharma scriptures such as the Bhagavad Gita. We will also be tuning into the class and calling forth transformative meditations to open each participant more to their own dharma, purpose, truth and integrity - so these can be woven joyfully into daily life, and so we can make our purpose manifest in the physical world.
