One of the major aspirations of spirituality is to connect. We seek to connect with the divine, with ourselves, with our purpose, and with those we love. But sometimes, instead of connection, we fall into co-dependency. We lose our sovereignty trying to be enough for connection with others. Ironically, this inevitably damages actual connection. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eTrue connection and sovereignty are one. The more we are deeply connected to the true self, the more we are connected with the divine inside of all beings. How this translates is in experiences of richer, deeper love, affection, and empathy; in feelings of being truly seen and known in relationship, and of truly seeing and knowing the beloved. In our own personal spiritual lives, greater sovereignty leads to a greater capacity to weave the divine we connect to in spiritual practice into the fabric of our daily lives, work, relationships and behaviour.
